Create real-time traces

The Unisphere Performance Management application enables the user to gather, view, and analyze performance data to troubleshoot and optimize the storage systems.

About this task

To create a real-time trace:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon> Performance > Real Time Traces.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Select the System.
  4. Set the Trace Start Time. Click the calendar icon for the date selection and use the up and down arrows for setting the specific start time.
  5. Select the Number of Hourly Traces. You can save up to 4 hours of data in four 1-hour files.
  6. Select the Retention number of days.
    Valid values are 1 to 30.
  7. Optional: Enter a Description of this trace.
  8. Click OK.
